Asian handicap lines set at half- and quarter-goal increments (-0.5, -0.75) that remove the draw and, for quarter lines, split the stake.
A half-ball handicap (±0.5) cannot push: the favourite at -0.5 must win outright, while the underdog at +0.5 wins the bet on a draw or a win. It is the simplest way to turn a three-way market into a two-way one.
Combined with whole numbers it produces the full Asian ladder (-1.5, -0.5, +0.5, +1.5…).
A quarter-ball handicap (±0.25, ±0.75) splits your stake across the two nearest lines. At -0.75, half your stake is on -0.5 and half on -1.0: a one-goal win means the -0.5 half wins and the -1.0 half pushes — a half-win.
Quarter lines let books price a team as "slightly more than half a goal" better and let bettors take partial-win/partial-refund positions.
Asian Handicap
A betting market that eliminates the draw by giving one team a goal head start — with fractional handicaps preventing any dead-heat outcomes.
Push
A bet that ties — the outcome lands exactly on the line — so the stake is returned with no win or loss.
Double Chance
A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (home win or draw, away win or draw) at lower odds.
