What is a dead-heat reduction?

When two or more selections tie for a winning position (e.g. two horses tied for 1st), the standard rule divides your stake by the number of tied runners. The fractional stake is settled at full odds; the remainder is lost. With 2 tied runners and a £100 win bet at 5.0, you receive £250 (instead of £500).

When does a bet count as half-win or half-lose?

Asian handicap quarter lines (e.g. −0.25, −0.75) split your stake across two adjacent half-lines. If one half wins and the other pushes, you get half-win — half your stake at full odds plus the other half refunded. If one half loses and the other pushes, half-lose — half your stake refunded and the other half lost.

Common void scenarios: postponed match, abandoned match before time limit, drawn 1X2 outcome on Asian handicap 0, exact handicap match (e.g. AH −1 with a 1-goal home win), or non-runner in horse racing. Void bets always return the full stake.
