Billing & Refund Policy

1. Plans and pricing
KiqIQ offers a free tier and two paid plans. Current pricing is shown on the pricing page. All paid plans are SaaS subscriptions for KiqIQ's football intelligence service — analytics, AI assistant access, premium feeds. Plans are not wagers, gambling deposits, or financial products of any kind.
2. Free tier
The free tier is fully usable without payment. We collect no payment method to use the free tier. Free-tier limits (e.g. AI query allowance per day) are clearly displayed and are not converted into paid charges automatically. There is no hidden conversion to a paid plan.
3. Subscription billing
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. We process payments through Stripe. By starting a paid plan you authorise KiqIQ to charge your payment method:
- at the price shown at checkout
- on the cadence shown at checkout (monthly or — when offered — annual)
- with each renewal until you cancel
The renewal date is displayed in your account dashboard and on every receipt email. Receipts are generated by Stripe at every successful charge.
4. Cooling-off period
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital subscription from the date of purchase.
Important exemption:if you start using premium features (running AI queries, opening Pro Scout content, accessing /value-bets) during the 14 days, you give explicit consent that the “digital content used immediately” exemption applies and the right to cancel for refund is lost. This consent is captured at checkout. Outside this exemption, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription:
- From the dashboard — Account → Subscription → Cancel. One click.
- From Stripe customer portal — link emailed with every receipt.
- By email — support@kiqiq.com with subject “Cancel subscription.” We honour the cancellation from the timestamp of your email.
On cancellation:
- Your service continues until the end of the current billing period
- You receive an immediate, timestamped electronic confirmation of cancellation by email
- No further charges are made
- No cancellation fee, no penalty, no obligation to give a reason
Per the EU Modernisation Directive (effective 19 June 2026 for online subscriptions), our cancel function is reachable in the same number of clicks (or fewer) as our signup flow. If you find this isn't the case, please email support and we'll fix it.
6. Refunds
Within the 14-day cooling-off period (and where the digital-content immediate-use exemption does not apply): full refund on request, processed within 14 days of receipt to the original payment method.
Outside the 14-day period:refunds are at KiqIQ's discretion. We will issue a refund where there has been a material service failure on our side or where local consumer law requires it. We do not refund partial months or unused days within a paid period.
Annual plans (when offered): pro-rata refund on cancellation within the first 14 days; no refund after 14 days, but the service continues until the annual term ends.
Free-trial conversions: cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge. We send a clear notice 3 days before any trial converts to paid; the first charge is preceded by an explicit confirmation email.
Discount-coupon redemptions, affiliate-attributed credits: non-refundable.
7. Pre-renewal reminders (annual plans)
For annual subscriptions (when introduced), we send an email reminder 14 days before each renewal stating the price, the next charge date, and a one-click cancel link. For monthly plans we currently send receipts at every charge but no advance reminder; this is under review.
8. Disputes and chargebacks
If something has gone wrong with your subscription, please email support@kiqiq.com first — we typically resolve issues within 48 hours, including refunds where appropriate. Filing a chargeback before contacting us can delay resolution and may result in account suspension.
9. Pricing changes
If we change the price of an existing subscription tier, you receive notice at least 30 days before the new price applies. You can cancel without penalty within that window if the new price doesn't work for you.
10. Tax
Prices on the pricing page are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. EU VAT is added at checkout for EU customers based on country of residence. We are evaluating Stripe Tax for full EU + global tax compliance; until that ships, EU customers should contact support for any tax-receipt corrections.
11. Currency
Charges are processed in GBP (£). Customers paying with a non-GBP card may incur foreign-exchange fees from their card issuer; these are outside KiqIQ's control.
12. Contact

13. Updates
Material changes to this policy are notified to active subscribers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Versioned at the top of the page.
